WHO ARE THE GLOUCESTERSHIRE FUNDERS?

We are a group of seven funders committed to work together as flexibly, swiftly and helpfully as we can, for the benefit of Gloucestershire charities, people and groups.

We also feel that, in good conscience, we need to say that there is much more demand than we have the funds to respond to, but we are committed to doing as much as we can, and still ensure our ability to go on funding into the future.

The Gloucestershire Funders, in alphabetical order, are:

Active Gloucestershire – We believe that physical activity can have a transformative impact on the lives of people and their communities. We are part of a national network of county sport and Active Partnerships operating across England. At our essence we are about driving positive change.

Barnwood TrustWe are a charitable foundation and our vision is to create the best possible environment in Gloucestershire for disabled people and people with mental health problems to make the most of their lives.

Create GloucestershireWe support the cultural and creative industries in Gloucestershire and introduces new people to arts, culture and creativity.

Gloucestershire Community Foundation – We connect people with communities, deploying our knowledge of the local charitable landscape, and the social sector, to allocate grants where they will achieve maximum impact. We work with charities, social enterprises and community interest companies across Gloucestershire to improve people’s lives.

National Benevolent CharityWe have been giving assistance  to people who have fallen into poverty because of sickness, disability, age or another reason for 200 years. During the Coronovirus Crisis we may be able to give Emergency Funding for people whose income has been significantly reduced as a direct result of the virus.

Police and Crime Commissioner’s Officewe support the Police and Crime Commissioner who acts as a voice for the public on policing, holds the Chief Constable to account and works with the police and partners to break the cycle of crime and disorder in Gloucestershire.

Thirty Percy Foundation – We are searching for collaborative, imaginative and unexpected ways to contribute to the world’s wellbeing and future security. We don’t pretend to have all the answers. So, we’re keen to meet people and build partnerships with other funders, individuals and organisations who share our entrepreneurial spirit.
